Wedding and event DJs & MCs in Adelaide, South Australia
Music
Music is life
Hi, we’re Jacqui & Brenton Edgecombe
We’d love to chat about DJing and MCing your big day. We are also professional musicians and can package our live music and DJ services for you. Relax and leave it all to us. We mainly work in and around Adelaide but are happy to travel throughout South Australia to help make your day the greatest!
Can we use your Spotify playlist? Do we work with sax players? The answers to these questions and many more can be found on our FAQs page.
*We are general party DJs (aka Open-Format or Multi-Genre) specializing in mixed-age events like weddings. If you want a specialist Deep House or Metal DJ you will find someone way more suited to your needs than us!
Do i need a dj?
the right vibes at the right time
Let’s face it, if you’re having a wedding reception, special birthday function or anniversary party, you’re going to want music! But why not just play a Spotify playlist through some speakers?
- We’ll follow the flow of your day/night and choose the right tunes to fit the mood in real time. From mellow background music with dinner to pumping dance hits when the floor comes to life
- We’ll create a seamless stream of music by beat-matching or fading the songs one to the other
- We’ll play the right songs at the right time to keep everyone happy. Your favourites, dad’s favourites and your niece’s favourites. Yes, we take requests!
- We’ll keep our ears on the volume level from every spot in the venue so it’s never offensively loud or embarrassingly soft
Do i need an MC?
we say “probably, yes”
Almost every wedding reception has an MC, to keep the event flowing, trigger the special moments (such as bridal party entrance, cake cutting, speeches and first dance) smooth over any glitches and help keep your guests entertained. So should you hire a professional MC or get a friend or family member to take on the task?
- A friend or family member may have a special rapport with your guests. If you have the perfect person in mind and they’re super keen to take on the task they might do an amazing job!
- However, in many cases if you enlist a friend or family member to be your MC they will be nervous all night rather than enjoying themselves
- There are many technical/professional aspects to MCing which you may not have thought of! An MC needs to be comfortable and confident getting the guests’ attention, have excellent microphone technique and be ready to cover any mishaps, making awkward moments into great ones
- We have had over twenty years of experience as (award-winning!) headline entertainers, as well as Brenton having MC’d weddings, milestone parties, events and festivals all around Australia.
- We’ll work with you all night/day to make sure your key moments occur smoothly and on schedule
If you're organising a wedding - this form might help you
We've created a fillable form on the Jotform platform which we send to our wedding clients to help us get all the information we need from the DJ/MC perspective. Even if you're at the early planning stages please check out our form! It may give you some ideas, or remind you of things you've forgotten or haven't even thought of yet.
